IT IS APPLIED DIFFERENTLY TO FABRICS AND NEEDS AN ADHESIVE (EasyWeed Adhesive). ADHESIVE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.

Metallic Foil Transfer is a special eye-catching graphic effect for T-shirts. It produces a shiny “metal-appearing” surface on various types of fabrics by using a heat press or home iron.

Heat Transfer Foils can be applied using a 'cuttable adhesive' such as Siser EasyWeed Adhesive or Specialty Materials HotMelt.

  • Cut Design from Adhesive Vinyl in reverse

  • Weed excess material

  • Preheat garment for 2-3 seconds

  • Apply design cut from adhesive vinyl at 275°F/135°C

  • Use medium pressure for 5-10 seconds

  • Peel carrier hot

  • Cut Design from Adhesive Vinyl in reverse

  • Weed excess material

  • Set iron dial between Cotton and Linen

  • Cover design with a non-stick reusable cover sheet or parchment paper

  • Place on flat hard surface (ironing board not recommended)

  • Press iron with medium/firm pressure (do not slide iron)

  • Press each section of design for 10-15 seconds

  • If areas of design lifts after application, replace cover sheet and re-press for 5 seconds

  • Peel carrier hot

  • Trim the foil 1/2" to 1" inch bigger than the designed image

  • Place foil over top of the image / must be applied shiny side up.

  • Cover Foil with non-stick reusable cover sheet.

  • Heat press 10-15 sec. at 300-325° F / Medium even pressure

  • Cool Peel Foil / Rub with a cloth, let cool completely, then peel.

  • Wait 24 hours after application to wash

  • Do not dry clean

  • Machine wash normal cycle, cold/warm with mild detergent

  • Lay flat to dry or machine dry on low/normal setting

  • Do not use chlorine bleach
