Application Instructions:
- Pre-Heat: 3–4 sec
- Temperature: Polyester 295°F | Cotton/Blends 310°F - 330°F
- Pressure: Medium–High
- Press Time: 8-10 sec
- Peel: Hot, Warm, or Cold
- Optional Repress: 3–4 sec (use parchment/Teflon for softer feel)
- Care: Wash after 24 hours, cold-medium heat, no bleach/softeners

Your sheet prints in CMYK on INSTA Peel film. Files built in RGB can shift slightly once printed in CMYK, so CMYK artwork gives the most consistent color.
Press it on.
Pre-heat 3–4 sec. Press 8–10 sec at medium-high pressure: 310–330°F for cotton and blends, 295°F for polyester. Peel hot, warm or cold. Optional 3–4 sec repress under parchment for a softer feel. Don't layer.

The same image will print differently on each. Color-Pro adds red, green, blue and orange inks to CMYK for a wider color range.

Advanced Troubleshooting

01 “My transfer won't transfer.” Press fix
Most likely cause: the heat press. Follow the press settings above and check your press's actual surface heat with a heat gun. Still won't transfer after multiple presses? Contact us with your order number.
02 “My small lettering came out splotchy / choppy.” File fix
Text and details under 0.75 mm are below the reliable print size. Strokes break up, fill in or drop out, and can weaken adhesion. It's a design limit, not a defect: enlarge the text or use a thicker, bolder font.
03 “There are harsh horizontal lines in my solid colors.” Contact us
Banding in what should be a solid color is a printing error on our end. Contact us with your order number for a resolution.
04 “My print is peeling or cracking after washing.” Press fix
Almost always pressing or care: too little pressure or time, skipping the repress, or washing too soon. Follow the press settings exactly, wait 24 hours before the first wash, wash cold to medium, and never use bleach or softeners.
05 “There's a faint outline or halo around my design.” File fix
Leftover semi-transparent pixels from an incomplete background removal print as a faint ghost edge. It comes from the file, not the printer: clean up the background fully before uploading.
06 “The colors don't match my screen.” Normal
Screens are backlit RGB; prints are ink on film. A slight shift is normal and expected, not a defect. 8-Color (Color-Pro) gets significantly closer to what you see.
07 “My transfer came out splotchy. Some ink stayed on the film.” Press fix
Usually a press issue: uneven platen pressure or cold spots. Heat-gun the entire platen, not just the center, and check pressure edge to edge. If other designs on the same sheet pressed fine, the press is the likely cause. Contact us with your order number and photos of the shirt and film. We track these.
08 “My transfer arrived wet or tacky.” Contact us
Transfers should feel dry, with a slightly textured powder surface. Don't press it. Contact us with your order number.
09 “A design is missing from my gang sheet.” Contact us
Check the full sheet, including the edges, first. Confirmed missing? Contact us with your order number.
10 “There's white showing around the edges of my design.” Contact us
A thin white outline on the garment side is a registration issue on our end. Contact us with your order number and a photo.
11 “My transfer arrived creased or damaged.” Contact us
Creases can crack the ink layer and cause failure at the fold. Don't press a visibly creased transfer. Contact us with your order number and photos.
12 “It won't stick to my performance / athletic shirt.” Garment
Moisture-wicking and water-repellent garments often carry coatings that block adhesion. Test one piece before running a full batch. It's a garment limitation, not a transfer defect.
13 “My colors changed after pressing.” Garment
Dye migration: the garment's dye bleeding up through the ink, most common on polyester. Press poly at the lowest effective temperature (295°F) and use dye-blocking garments where possible.

Advanced Pressing & storage
- Color bar
Never press the color bar that runs along the side of the print. It's for our quality control only: trim it off before pressing.
- Heat check
Check your press's actual surface temperature with a heat gun, across the whole platen. Built-in heat press thermometers are often off.
- Storage
Store transfers flat, cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Don't stack them under weight: sheets can fuse together. Summer heat can make transfers weep (turn oily or sticky) and can start lifting them off the film early. Heat and humidity weaken adhesion, so press within 30 days.
- Care
Wait 24 hours before the first wash. Wash cold to medium. No bleach or fabric softener.
Advanced Fine detail limits
Lines, small lettering and details under 0.75 mm are not guaranteed. They can print thin, broken, splotchy or not at all, and tiny details can also weaken the adhesive on the transfer.
We don't change anything once your images are uploaded and sent, so double-check your sizing first. If our software shifts your sizing, contact us right away.
